Founded in 1997 as a special branch of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a sort of “clean up crew” for the superheroes (“taking supervillains into custody, guarding damaged property, etc.”) but have been seen hunting down, and capturing, various superheroes. Project Cadmus

Founded in 1971 as the government’s defacto high tech genetic research and cloning facility. Re-chartered in 1997 as part of the founding of E.A.G.L.E. Current Director: General Thaddeus E. Ross


Strategic Warfare Oversight Response Department. Founded in 2004 to act as a special division of S.H.I.E.L.D. that responds to superhuman threats. Current Director: Dr. Amanda Blake Waller


Founded in 1988 as a covert operations agency set up to serve as a small, quasi-independent branch in control of Task Force X and able to perform operations worldwide considered vital to the security of American interests. Checkmate was re-chartered in 2005 and placed under S.W.O.R.D.Current Director: Taleb Beni Khalid


Superhuman Restraint Unit. Founded in 2006 to serve as a special operations unit trained to take down superhuman combatants. Its members (and the armored suits themselves) became known as Cape-Killers. Current Director: Timothy Aloysius Cadwallader Dugan


Mutant Response Division. Founded in 1983 as Project Wideawake with the purpose of detecting and capturing meta-humans and mutants. Known for the employment of the robots known as Sentinels. Re-chartered in 2010 as part of S.W.O.R.D. and becoming known as the M.R.D. Current Director: Dr. Steven Lang


Altered-Reality Monitoring and Operational Response. Founded in 2008 as a special division of S.H.I.E.L.D. that monitors and responds to alternate reality incursions. Current Director: James Brendan Corrigan


Wizardry, Alchemy and Necromancy Department. Founded in 2014 as special division of S.H.I.E.L.D that monitors and responds to anything relating to magic. Current Director: Hector Sanders Hall


Bureau of Amplified Animals. Founded in 1992 as US Government agency that monitors and deploys superhuman animal operatives. Re-chartered in 2014 as part of the formation of W.A.N.D. Current Director: Bobo T. Chimpanzee


Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Founded in 1993 as an organization charged with protecting America and the world from the occult, paranormal and supernatural. It maintains the services of several supernatural persons. Re-chartered in 2014 as part of the formation of W.A.N.D. Current Director: Professor Trevor Bruttenholm


Humanitarian Assistance, Maintenance, Management, Education, and Research. Founded in 2008 as a new espionage and law enforcement agency. It’s formation was in response to concerns about S.H.I.E.L.D.’s authority and effectiveness. Current Director: Norman Virgil Osborn


Advanced Research Group United Support. Founded in 2012 as a division of H.A.M.M.E.R. responsable for advanced research and support. Current Director: Colonel Steven Rockwell Trevor
